Before writing the review, I wanted to see firsthand if the "Superbeet" craze is all it's supposed to be. (Disclaimer: I LOVE beets cooked any way, especially pickled!) I wanted to see if it would actually give me more energy and improve circulation. Regarding the first, I noticed an increase in energy levels. Every day around 3:00 p.m. I felt like someone had "pulled the plug" on me. I could almost set the time until the energy went down. I started drinking it in the afternoon and within a week I felt the difference. As for circulation, my hands and feet don't seem to be as cold as they used to be. This is the only super beet product I've tried, but it's not that bad. I drink it with hot water. I've tried it alone with a squeeze of lime or lemon, but my favorite is mixing it with powdered bronzer and sometimes a decaffeinated tea bag. It's on the sweet side; It's like drinking hot cherry jelly, but then again, I like hot jelly. Tan or lime juice will help balance out the sweetness. What I don't like is the graininess in the last 1/3 cup, but after trying several ways to dissolve the powder I figured I'd just live with it. I read another review that mentioned "white spots in the powder". I have them too, but I figured it was due to the apples being added for flavor. I still drink it and haven't noticed any side effects. (Manufacturer: should NOT be white spots, PLEASE report!) Conclusion: I noticed an increase in energy and improved blood circulation. The product is not travel friendly so I bought capsules. Haven't tried them yet, but I'm sure they don't go as well with tan or tea as they do. Will likely buy the same product again.
