Review on Nespresso Essenza Mini Espresso Machine by Breville - Piano Black by Anastazja Andrzejews ᠌

A really necessary purchase, glad I found this product.

Someone wrote that the machine is loud and wakes up the whole house with a rumble - this can really turn out to be so, but only if it is standing on a strongly resonating table. Place a pad of soft silicone or foam rubber under it, and this unpleasant effect will disappear (compare the noise from the phone in vibration mode - pressed to the table or lying on a soft rag). I measured the power consumed from the network - 1200 W during preheating, while filling the cup, the load is switched on by pulses, but does not exceed 1200 W. When idle (but with lights on) it consumes nothing, ±1W.

Pros
  • The machine is super-compact, almost pocket-sized, dimensions are only 85x205x330 mm (WxHxD), it feels like a Soviet encyclopedic reference book standing on an edge on the table :-) Coffee brews very tasty, rarely in which cafe they can serve this. In addition to the original ones, L'Or, Lavazza, Starbucks, Rioba capsules are suitable for it, sometimes you can even buy illy (look for the inscription "nespresso compatible"). The internal water tank warms up to operating temperature in a matter of seconds when turned on (theoretically, without capsules, it can be used as a source of boiling water for brewing tea bags instead of a thermo pot). I liked the way to adjust the volume of water supply - just hold down the desired button and release when enough, the coffee maker remembers this setting.
Cons
  • It would be better if the lid of the water tank was fixed in the raised state, but now it works as a lever for unfastening (according to the instructions, the tank must be removed and filled under the tap, but putting the tank full of water back and not splashing is quite difficult, it is more convenient to pour from bottle or jug without removing).
