Heavy, bigger than expected, good quality lens, very good light. However, I had a few problems. The case turned out to be broken and was falling apart when I received it. But the clear plastic lid insert didn't snap into place, it didn't snap into place until I realized the pin on the hinge wasn't seated properly. After playing around with it for some time I was able to assemble it. The magnifying glass itself had to tighten the screws. All that says about the end result is a very good illuminated magnifier. Hold it close to the eye for large overall magnification, or move it away from the eye for very high magnification. It is very comfortable. Although at first I thought I would have to return it, upon closer inspection it turned out that it just needs some work. Worth the price.
