Update: Big Big Zero

Update: From Hero to Zero! I ordered two; The first one looked robust at first, but after about two and a half months a rust crust appeared on the outside. When it comes to heaters you don't mess around so I ditched them and ordered the second one I ordered. It took 2 weeks before the same problem appeared. (And of course, when I took it inside to take a picture, I dropped it and smashed it.) :/ I'll stick with the more established brands from now on; I should have known that saving money for a heater throughout life is just a recipe for long-term frustration. Don't bother with heaters - buy a quality one. And it's not. It's a little early to write a review as I've only had this product for a week, but it exceeded my expectations. My heater looked iffy (condensation in the glass tube) so I bought two of these, one as a backup. So far it's been fairly accurate, with the dial's setting reflecting the actual temperature it was rated for. I used the second in a 29 gallon open pond/tub as it was 30 degrees at night and I was concerned about the fish in it. Holy Moly got this thing working! The previous 100 watt heater did not work. This 150 watt heater had no problem maintaining temperatures in the 70's despite lows in the 40's. I am very satisfied with this product so far. *Remember that all heaters are consumables, which means they don't last forever. Monitor your gear and swap out when necessary to avoid heating accidents!
