This Lamicall laptop stand is well made. It comes flat packed and will require some assembly but is very easy to assemble based on the instructions in the pictures and the 10 short screws and 2 allen keys provided (you only need 8 screws and 1 allen key but mine came with extras ). Basically you use 4 screws to attach the riser to the base and then the other 4 screws to attach the top platform to the riser. You only need the right side for the base (the side with 4 silicone non-slip pads on the bottom, facing down) and the right side for the laptop platform (the side with 2 silicone strips and the metal tab that holds the laptop in front of the slide should face up). The top platform should be sloped so that it slopes down towards the metal ledge to allow the laptop to rest on the ledge. The entire upper platform rotates smoothly and slowly with light pressure, so you don't have to worry about this rotation. out of control and the whole setup is well balanced. My son uses this on the coffee table in the picture so he can reach the buttons on his laptop with a graphics tablet. He doesn't have to bend down and can also turn the keys towards him, which helps him a lot. This is a well-made and attractive stand that moves your tools toward you, not the other way around.
