Review on Six Moon Designs Ultralight Umbrella by Patricia Rubio

I'm a big fan of walking with an umbrella. I have fair skin and burn easily. I HATE putting on sunscreen all the time, I usually forget and honestly it sweats. Anyway, I've never sunburned this or their previous (8.9 ounce) model and I've had both through open ridge lines in Yosemite, the Utah deserts and the US Everglades in July. My old one still works great, I just wanted a newer, lighter model. The summer heat is bearable under this umbrella. Not only are you protected from sunburn, you stay cool too. Of course there is protection from rain. There is nothing worse than stepping into a raincoat while sweating. Even the best and most expensive models don't breathe well and I've had several. With an umbrella, there are no such problems. Obviously it's smaller so you don't get full coverage, but even then you dry out almost completely. The best part? Clip or tie to backpack straps and have both hands free. Need to make a fire but the wind keeps blowing the tinder? Block it with an umbrella. The way you can use this item outdoors is quite impressive. In fact the only downside is that it's ultra light and doesn't handle really strong winds well... but to be honest most umbrellas don't. Just buy this thing, you will love it and wonder why you waited so long
