This monopod works well with a 200-500mm lens, the lens itself already weighs 7 pounds. The entire setup weighs around 13-15 pounds and the monopod holds the weight well. Legged installation is easy to turn on and off, no hassles. Very durable and will satisfy this monopod. If you think about it, buy it. You get what you paid for so don't skimp.
