Review on Portland Design Works Sodapop Frame Mount Bicycle Fenders by Vincent Burton

My dream fenders

Other reviewers had trouble installing these fenders, but I installed them on my bike in less than two minutes. You can see in the photos that I put them on a typical 1990's style chromoly frame. Two bolts were supplied, a longer one for the front (where it needs to go through the headtube diameter) and a shorter one for the rear (where it just needs to go through the seatstay bridge). But I didn't even need a screw in the back! The bracket includes plastic grips that fit *perfectly* to the seatstay bar, see photo. The handles hold up so well I didn't feel compelled to add a screw, which is saying something as I usually prefer a belt and suspenders. At least in the store. The mudguards are very light and go well with a sports bike. My only complaint is that they are universal. My bike has 26" wheels which means the fenders are flared a bit as they are supposed to fit up to 29" wheels. The front fender can catch my foot in tight corners. It's okay because they are light and flexible.

Cons
