Okay, I'll open this this morning installed on my GTX 980ti heatsink as an exhaust fan. There is a fan on each side of the radiator. The original supplied fan was a pressure fan. Anyway, I used to use a Noctua 1200rpm fan as an exhaust fan. It probably wasn't strong enough to pull, so it caused turbulence and the GPU got hotter than usual. This slower, low-power Noctua fan is completely silent, but it was decided it would be better to have more features on the heatsink fans that keep expensive components cool. I'm playing a modern game with the highest graphics at 1440p and my GPU is fluctuating between 49 and 53 degrees Celsius. With this fan he cools it down to a stable 42 degrees at around 2000 rpm. If I max it out at 3000rpm, it cools the GPU by about 39-40 degrees under the same conditions. This is a much larger temperature difference than I expected. The best part is that he can still remain silent. It's quite noisy at 3000RPM, like any fan at that speed. At 2000rpm it's not bad, that's probably the speed I'll keep it at while playing games and the like. The lowest speed the motherboard fan test program was able to achieve was around 1350 RPM. Just slightly faster than my other Noctua fans at full speed. At this speed, the fan is almost as quiet as the Noctua at a lower speed. So my favorite part is that I can keep the fans quiet when I'm using the computer for light use and I can turn them on for a bit for gaming without making a ton of noise. Finally, when I needed full cooling performance, I could increase it even more if I didn't care about noise. I will eventually replace my 2 CPU heatsink fans with these when I have the money. I could probably cool it down enough to overclock my CPU a bit. I like their color better than their old brown poop colors. Also, with this fan, you can remove the brown parts and leave a solid black fan. The brown parts are actually removable anti-vibration pads. I wasn't aware of this when I bought it, so it was a pleasant surprise. I would highly recommend this to anyone. At the lowest speed, it's quiet enough if the motherboard has PWM. It also gives you the option to pump more air if needed. Typical silent fans always run at full speed, which is not always enough.
