I bought one of these remotes from a local store about a year ago, rhymes with Lig Bots, for my 42 inch Akai TV. It worked as it should and still does. I was pleased. Then last month I ordered the exact same remote from Revain. When it arrived it looked exactly like what I had previously bought. I tried all the codes listed in the manual for my Akai and only found one code that worked halfway but had a lot of the functionality on the wrong buttons and others didn't work at all. Obviously GE has made changes. in this remote control keeping the same appearance but changing the internal programming. I guess I'll have to bite the bullet and spend a lot of money on the Harmony remote. I'm sorry this one didn't work like a discount store. However, at the low price here at Revain, I'm happy with the purchase.
