We have a predominantly dark gray German Shepherd. My daughter and I share it. She has a fenced yard for him and I don't have one so I keep him on a leash/harness when I take him outside. It's really hard to see at night; even at the end of the line. This collar replaced an old, different brand that no longer worked. This collar is great so far! We like it very much. It has three different colors (red, light green, and blue) that can be set to be solid or blinking. They can also be set to rotate through a series of alternating colors. It really catches the eye and helps us see our beloved fluffy baby! This means that if he accidentally breaks loose and decides to hunt a raccoon or other nocturnal animal, others can also see him. He loves chasing a deer out of my daughter's fenced yard and it's hard to see him when he gets to the other end of the fence but with this collar we can track him. She works in law enforcement and I just left her, so we both prefer blue in a permanent setting, but we both agreed that red looks pretty good too. The collar feels very solid and although the locking mechanism is all plastic it also feels solid and well made. I also liked that it's rain and weather resistant and the charging port has a small sliding cover to protect it when not charging. It charges in 1-3 hours and is advertised as giving 4-6 hours of use on a single charge. If not, I will update this review to reflect that or other shortcomings. It comes with a card where you can scan a QR code to add a 2 year warranty but mine went to a 404 error page. I emailed the company and they added it manually and said they were also working on fixing the bug pages. They also responded quickly.
