I was pleased to see that this heating cable is unlike any other cable I have seen. This one is very heavy and solidly made. The plug will light up when you plug it in so you know it's working. So many others caution you against making sure it doesn't touch any other part of the cable. This cable says everything is fine. I routed the cable through the tube and secured it to make sure it didn't freeze. If it's in the pipe where you can't see it, you can't tell if the wires are touching, so that was just what I needed. I couldn't install it last winter and had a lot of problems so I'm much happier this year as I didn't have any freezes. Don't waste your money on other cheap ones, buy Heat Tape Pro.
