The Tactleneck! good for me

"I didn't invent the turtleneck, Lana. But I was the first to see its potential as a tactical garment. The Tactical Turtleneck, Lana. The. Tactleneck!"- Sterling ArcherUnfortunately this turtleneck only comes in black, not dark black and slightly darker black, but it is still a premium tactical garment. (There may also be some non-tactical applications.)For turtleneck aficionados there are two primary categories in terms of material - thin and thick. This one's somewhere in the middle, with a kind of medium weight weave. I'd call it a thick fabric in that it's not thin, but it's also not sweater thickness like a true "thick" turtleneck would be. It layers well so if you want to put a lightweight activewear undershirt under it you can stay reasonably cool on warm days (not hot - I don't see this really being comfortable in short-sleeve weather). You can also put a cold weather base layer under it and throw a light jacket over the top to stay warm without looking bundled up in colder weather.Fit is pretty good. I'm 6'4" so another half inch or inch in the sleeve length would've been nice, but the sleeves aren't actually short on me. (Being tall I'm more aware of sleeve length in general, so when it's "just enough" I'm okay, but happier with a bit extra.) I based my sizing off the chest measurement alone, and I was happy with the fit.Whether you're looking for a tactical garment to show up those ODIN dweebs in style, or for whatever reason just like wearing turtlenecks, this is a good one to get.

Pros
  • Clothing, Shoes & Jewelry
Cons
  • The material may attract lint or pet hair, making it difficult to keep clean
