Review on Walker Products 200 1175 Throttle Position by Tutan Dennard

1997 Toyota Tacoma 2.4L TPS sensor completely fixed my stalling problem

I needed a new TPS sensor because it stalls in traffic and is white even when idling in park. The car constantly stalls and the idle disappears. I replaced the old one with the new one and it made a huge difference. You will need to tune this sensor with an ohmmeter and make sure it is in the correct ranges for proper operation. I also replaced the old screws so I can use the bushing to install the new ones and never have to remove them. I tested the old one with a meter and alligator clips and it didn't read at all so the meter inside was completely out of whack. I would definitely recommend this sensor and it is worth the money for the difference it has made on my Tacoma.

Pros
  • Fault symptoms include poor starting, automatic transmission converter not locking properly, engine stalling, engine stalls and/or check engine light. There is no scheduled maintenance for TPS sensors, sensors are maintenance free and need to be replaced if they fail
Cons
  • Something else
