I am new to the outboard world and have just purchased a 1989 Force15 outboard motor. Since the engine maintenance details were sketchy, I decided to do some serious tuning. Replaced the fuel lines, repaired the fuel pump with a new set of gaskets. Next on my list was a new wheel. When I opened the case, the old impeller looked a little crusty, but the rubber fins were still flexible. I keep it as a reserve. The new one looked like the old one. The fit was perfect. I stopped seeing water coming out of the engine, but the engine hasn't overheated, so don't worry. The price was ok. Quality - time will tell how it holds up to "bullying". I also changed the transmission oil - thank god I did that, the bottom block was almost out of oil and it was pretty dark. A few days have passed since the oil change and the gaskets around the bolts are not leaking. I'm going to do another test drive this weekend on our local lake.
