Excellent card reader. Although my computer has older USB 2.0 ports, this USB 3.0 reader transfers data faster than my old USB 2.0 memory card reader, which may be due to the old reader's design, but it's still a nice difference. The color of the power/transfer light is very pale blue and I prefer blue glowing lights for devices. The reader's USB cable is of the highest quality. The USB cable is firmly attached in the middle at the back of the device. I've never liked card readers that have USB cables plugged into either the left or right side because the device spins and powers up my desktop. On my Windows 7 operating system, the reader shows up under Computer as three separate removable drives. I leave the Unitek card reader on all the time. Three removable drives always boot. The device works at low temperatures. This is a very good card reader.
