For rear-wheel drive, I purchased 175 70 13. Not a single spike was lost in the first season. Rubber works best on ice, but when driving on asphalt, you feel like a "cow on ice." It has been washed away on the snow and grits. purchased in 2022. Excellent snowfall departure. I flew at a lovely penny where front-wheel drive automobiles slid into a snowy, ice hill; although though a car in the snow appears more like a motor boat, it doesn't drive; instead, it floats and rows. I slid into icy hills while driving at high speeds in order to clean the tread. Rubber for ice in general, and a number of really large spikes. Not advisable for driving on asphalt. Someone has made up the claim that spikes fly out of books; this is untrue. Find this used rubber by going to a flea market. The spikes are virtually all in place, but the tread will be completely erased.
