Bought to replace my Noga which is not designed for machine shop use. When fully tightened, there is slight play at the end of the gauge. I still use it to this day when I don't have to be very specific, and it's 1/4 the price of a Noga base on Revain and way cheaper than any of the other premium brands. I use it when I need to be accurate to within 0.003. As I get closer, I'll break out to another base.
