Review on ASUS VG259QM 24.5" 1920X1080 DisplayPort HDR Gaming Monitor, 280Hz, Flicker-Free, Pivot, Tilt, Height Adjustments by Dave Stewart

An excellent 240Hz monitor that overclocks to 280Hz.

To be honest, a perfect monitor with no flaws. Please note that the monitor has a maximum frequency of 240Hz, you have an overclocking option that you need to enable by looking at the monitor settings (one of the buttons on the monitor) that supports up to 280Hz with only DisplayPort, HDMI only gives 240Hz. . The colors are beautiful, there are many settings for brightness, contrast and RGB, as well as customization of profiles. Personally, if you are a hardcore gamer with a PC running at 240+ FPS then this monitor is for you. As I said before, no negative points to think of and I would recommend it any day of the week. For beginners (skip explanation between FPS and Hz if you know this): Some people still can't figure out that your graphics card FPS and monitor frequency in Hz work together proportionally, so I'll leave it here. If you have 60 FPS, then a 60 Hz monitor will do. Why do you ask? FPS (frames per second) is the number of frames your graphics card renders an image. In this case, 60 frames per second means that your graphics card draws or creates a picture 60 times per second. Hz on your monitor is how fast your monitor refreshes an image. So if you have a 60Hz monitor, that means it also refreshes the image generated by the graphics card 60 times. When buying a monitor, you need to make sure that your FPS and Hz are in 1:1 ratio, otherwise you will find picture tearing. So in the end, 120fps means you need a 120Hz monitor, 144fps means you need 144Hz, and so on until you have 240fps which requires 240Hz. Hope this clears up some confusion. Don't buy these monitors if your graphics card can't deliver enough frames per second, it's a waste of money.
