Review on 🧵 Janome HD1000BE HD1000 Black Edition: The Ultimate All Metal Body Sewing Machine by Carla Anderson

I was a bit concerned about some of the negative reviews but received them today and started sewing straight away. It's a lot quieter and smoother than my previous machine (Singer Tradition). Slightly different for refueling but I just followed the instructions; they are very clear. I didn't have any tension issues, which was a constant struggle with my other car. But to be fair to my singer, I've been doing so much research on sewing machines lately that I've found that when threading your machine you should never thread your machine with the presser foot down or it will mess up the needle thread tension. Just thought I'd mention this for any other newbies like me, who didn't know! This machine made sewing fun, not frustrating. Another plus is the weight; it seems pretty light for an all-metal machine. I thought it would be a lot heavier than it actually is, which I'm guessing since I don't have my own "sewing station" and have to carry it from my storage to use on my kitchen counter. Overall very satisfied (and I liked the little stickers that were included).
