Extra chic! - Cats

OK! So it's nothing more than a glorified cardboard product, but a furniture saver and a treat for cats nonetheless. I love it! I tried a few of these with my cats almost 10 years ago and all they made was an awful mess that I kept having to pick up. The cats also tore them up like nobody cared and I was too poor to keep replacing them. I've tried the posts and even free replacement carpets. Only replacement rugs remained, but they're not much better when it comes to clutter and they're not exactly economical. I decided to try this product because of its size but I declined. be more than impressed. It's a lot stronger than the old version I used and seems to last insanely long which helps me save money. It also doesn't shed half as much as others I've used - at least not until they've destroyed as much of it as possible. Even then it's not that bad. At the suggestion of someone here I flipped the insert when I noticed it was worn out which worked great and it was like new again. I ordered it in July and it will still be good despite constant daily use; However, one of my cats seemed to enjoy it so much that they decided to taunt him. I cleaned it as best I could and turned it on the older side until I buy a new one. It still works great even though my inner germ phobia is looking for a new one. It does an excellent job of rescuing door jambs, beds, and forbidden carpet areas. I was very concerned that they wouldn't understand the transition from the carpet pads I had prepared for them (which they actually stuck to during use, which is amazing) but they went straight to Catit. The only thing I would change is the ugly font on the side for nicer graphics, but that's no big deal. I was also starting to think about the idea of adding a rubber insert to the bottom of the shelf to hold it in place if it moves a bit - again, not a big deal. I don't know where they get their catnip from either, but it has to be top quality! My cats go nuts for it, which is rare, and I just sprinkle it on a little every few months. Sometimes I look at them with envy when they drive in an almost euphoric state. That's unfair.
