Loud European sound, easy installation

The horns were easy to install. They draw about the same amount of current as my stock horns (between 2.5A and 3A for each PIAA horn) so I was able to use the standard wiring, relay and fuse instead of making a separate connection to the battery positive. I used type B setup (two horns with one wire each). The positive terminals of the standard horn connect directly to the positive quick connector of the PIAA horns. I didn't have to cut off stock plugs and crimp new plugs. Standard horns use a single connection, so I ran a separate ground wire from each PIAA horn to a ground point near the hood latch. I made an inverted T bracket to hang two horns from one of the standard horns. PIAA horns are slightly larger than the typical standard Japanese "beep-beep" style horn, so you'll need to plan ahead to ensure you have enough space for the horns and any mounting brackets you may use. I angled my PIAA horns out slightly (instead of hanging straight down) to get the motor brace out from under the horns. The horns have a nice European sound and are quite loud.

Pros
  • Don't waste too much time
Cons
  • Not as good as it promises
