The inexpensive laptop didn't have a connector to add an SSD drive, so I checked YouTube and found that a component of this item can be used as an adapter. I installed the component, but the hard drive kept disconnecting and the system rebooted. I did not use this part for its intended purpose and am not sure if using it as an adapter was a problem. I gave up the computer and that part with it. I don't want to give the impression that I definitely thought this was a bug, but despite everything, nothing worked as intended.
