"When you rotate the car mount, it locks into place. It stays taut and secure once the right angle is chosen.” I don't get a click. Even tightening the locking ring made it move. The angles you can use are also limited. We're doing that work, but overall I'm disappointed with this item. The description made me think I could place it anywhere on the dash, adjust it to the phone's desired position and it would snap into place. Instead, you run into a bump and the phone falls everywhere. I won't be returning it but I don't think I would buy it again.
