Best Back Scratch Design

This back brush is exactly what I was looking for. Traditional Claw Scraper: - I'm 6ft tall and this back scraper easily reaches any part of my back with no problems or extra distortion on my part - the wood is a sturdy maple I don't think people understand the design The reason this one is so much stronger than traditional back scrapers is because the vertical ridge is the width of the tree, not the depth. than the width. what does that mean? look at the product image so you can follow my definitions as some words can be used interchangeably depending on how you look at it. height is the length from the bottom to the top; there are no problems. What I call depth is measured front to back. Width is measured left to right. So if you look at the picture oh, the words "Vermont Maple Back Scratch" are written on the longer, flat portion of the article. The vertical ridge points forward in width. Now that you understand this you can see how much more durable the product is than traditional back scratchers. Traditional back scrapers are of the reverse design, with the "scraper" placed in line with the shallow part of the depth. Well, we all know what's going on. You start putting even a little effort into this type of construction and the entire product bends and you're afraid it will break (which many of us did, which is why we're looking for a better product like this) . With this design, the "scraper" faces the smaller side, which greatly increases strength and offers no noticeable flex no matter how much force you apply. Imagine a flat piece of square cardboard. If you try to apply pressure in the middle of the flat piece to bend it, it doesn't take long before it bends and folds easily. But now, if you try to put pressure on one of the thin sides, it's almost impossible to bend it (well, not for Batman). Given this back scraper design, it's infinitely better than the old-fashioned "scraper" that faces the flat, curved side. Finally, the vertical comb scraper differs from the traditional "claw". In fact, it takes time to get used to. There is a steep learning curve. It took me over 2 seconds to get used to this, so I understand the frustration of the crowds. In summary, if someone is looking for a great, durable back scratcher, look no further. This is not a titanium-uranium telescope. But who needs all this? This is an American made quality product and I highly recommend it.

Pros
  • 3/4" width at the "teeth"
Cons
  • boring packaging
