Installation Nightmare

One of the worst lights I've ever installed and I've been an electrician since 1997. For starters, this light is not UL listed and there are no mandatory voltage and wattage ratings. If you want to shorten the length of the pendant light to 12-18 inches, you will need to rewire the entire back of the light as there isn't enough room to "tuck" the excess cord anywhere. Fastening bolts are not standardized (metric) and are too short to screw the finished NUT onto the bolt (bolt). The threads of the mounting bolt began to loosen after numerous attempts to hang the light. After playing around with this for 5 hours and going into a closed shop, I looked for metric screws at the hardware store. I used the 8-32 screws I had (the standard size for hangers). so that you can use the finished nut. The only good thing about the device is that my wife likes the look. I am tempted to return it due to lack of UL listing. And one more thing, the terminal block they use instead of wire nuts is no good either. Very small compression and mass bolts and hot (factory side) came out of the block. I've never seen a light with a terminal strip.
