Review on DecoArt DECADC 36 42 Victorian Americana Victorn by Dawn Fischer

I like the purple hue of this paint. Lives up to its "Victorian" name and looks great when covered in antique stain. This creates an even darker and richer purple. It's not the highest quality chalk paint, but I've used it on several furniture painting projects with no problem (and the price is attractive). It goes on smoothly and usually requires a few coats for full coverage. There's no need to prep the surface you're painting on, and that's one of the reasons I love chalk paint so much. And no horrible chemical smell. I noticed that some of the other colors from this brand (as well as cream wax) were starting to look more diluted. I haven't noticed that with this particular color and it hasn't affected the results of my projects in any way. Remember to always apply wax to protect the paintwork from bumps, moisture, etc.
