These are Naturally Protected Luminaires, not IC lights.

These are well made mounts and stronger than others I have installed. I've had inspectors who didn't install because they didn't see the thermal switch that is usually present for IC equipment. This category includes fixtures designed to be mounted in walls, ceilings, and similar locations as defined by Section 410, NFPA 70, and the National Electrical Code. A luminaire whose external surface temperature does not exceed 90°C, even if insulated, improperly positioned or covered, will be marked with the "INHERENTLY PROTECTED” label, to which these luminaires conform. I would buy them again
