I try not to use harsh chemicals to clean my house. I moved to a new state and our rented house has very hard water. After a few months, a hard ring of limescale formed in the toilet and sink drains. I tried cleaning rags soaked in vinegar to sit on calcium and couldn't pull them out as I scrubbed hard. I even bought "commercial" hard water cleaners from the hardware store and although they reduced the amount of calcium it didn't go away completely and I could barely spend a few minutes in the exhaust fumes. My friend is at work. these mentioned. I first tried it on my sink where the calcium formed a ring around the sink. It wipes off easily! (It's abrasive, so use thick dishwashing gloves.) Then the real test - the toilet. The first photo after cleaning and sanitizing with bleach (not my approach but I was willing to try anything!) I was embarrassed by the dirty look of my toilets no matter how much I washed. The second picture after pumice and 12 minutes enough elbows! EVERYTHING IS GONE! Wonderful! C. NO. CHEMICALS!
