I only use them on my couch I-PAD and rarely plug and unplug it. It is used when inverted which causes the cable to bend into a U shape where the connector is inserted. With that in mind, I looked for cables that appeared to be reinforced at the end of the I-PAD connector. Although they seem to have a lot of reinforcement, the first one failed after only a few weeks of use. The current carrying capacity also seems to be lower as the charge time is slower than any other cable I've used. Not recommended based on my experience so far.
