Review on πŸ”₯ LG 5220FR2006H Authentic OEM Hot Water Inlet Valve for LG Washing Machines by Eder Boesel

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The OEM part works great!

My LG WM2455HG Wheel Loader kept throwing error code 'FE' when I ran a wash for more than 20-30 minutes (aka Speed Wash). I investigated the fault code and determined that it could be either the inlet valves or the water level sensor or the sensor's air hose (if this hose is clogged or broken it can artificially cause the same "FE" fault code). After further research it appeared to me that my car was having problems with intake valves due to high water pressure. My water level sensor air hose was clean, free of debris and not torn or torn anywhere. So I decided to focus on intake valves. I ran a long wash cycle with only cold water and noticed that the code "FE" still breaks the wash cycle. That led me to believe it was the cold water inlet valve. My original hot water inlet valve was not defective, but I decided to replace it at the same time as the defective cold water inlet valve. I noticed that the parts were exactly the same except for the screen filter that was in the threaded hole. The original part had a steel screen with a fairly large mesh opening compared to the new part which came with a plastic filter screen with much smaller openings. My plumbing lines have relatively high water pressure (100-105 psi) and I don't have a pressure reducing valve on my mains, so I believe this caused the cold water inlet valve to fail prematurely. The smaller screen holes on the new inlet valves should also help lower the inlet water pressure to a safer limit when you have high water pressure. Hopefully this small design change will extend the life of your water supply valves!
