I have had this pen now for two (2) years. After looking extensively on Ebay at the original posting, I can say I agree with another review that what I received was NOT a TakeFlight pen and did not have even the glass breaker tool as shown, but a sharpened cap, as you can see from the picture updates. I also suffered the same problems as others where the end would repeatedly come off and I had to use loctite to secure it. I also have now run into the problem that it does NOT take papermate refills, they are actually an odd off-market refill. I have downgraded this to two stars as I was able to use the pen for about a year consistently, so that was fine, but overall the pen was not as described in the posting and since I actually was able to use the pen and did, I am keeping it over one star.ORIGINAL REVIEW: Nice pen. Not sure about the negative reviews as I didn't have any of the issues they stated. No instructions, but it is really just a basic screw-together pen. Takes a standard papermate refill, so I don't see any issues there. I tend to use a Cross pen for most times at work, but wanted a tactical pen for when the need might be for more of a non-imposing defensive or survival (break auto glass) tool. This fits the bill as a really good choice that doesn't break the bank. I won't go on about the size as the pictures are easy to compare to a standard Cross pen. Great pen for my purposes. Reason for only 4 stars is I am going to see about longevity and durability. Time will tell.
