A replacement Valley pan is also defective
The gasket was deformed the same as it was when it was originally delivered and replaced. As you can see in the photo it looks like the ends of the gasket have fused together resulting in an uneven bulge and "pits" that most certainly will not seal. After examining genuine BMW parts and other quality brands, the gasket appears to be perfectly even and consistent around the entire perimeter. I'm not sure how it got through quality control.
