Review on Toyo Observe G3-Ice 235/45 R17 94 winter by Stanisaw Frank ᠌

Everything is fine, there are only minor drawbacks.

Due to its high curb weight, winter tires are a need for the 2022 Toyota Highlander. On a snowy road, the brakes and handling should perform well. And I can attest that this rubber was up to the challenge. In particular, for the cost. After two years of use, I can say that this rubber has largely met my expectations. What's the point of nearly? Because, in spite of everything, one spike came out on the left front wheel and two on the right during the first winter. The final vehicle had studded hankooks as well, and those studs stayed on for a full three years. True, we frequently have to scale curbs in the yard; perhaps this is what causes the spikes to protrude. You won't find better rubber anywhere else for the price you're paying.

Pros
  • Compared to my summer Michelins, the car is considerably softer and is managed much better on these winter tires. They grip the road wonderfully, stick well to the surface even on clean ice, and brake perfectly on any surface. It's quick and sure; you won't feel like your automobile is "walking" at high speeds.
Cons
  • The rubber makes a loud rumbling noise, especially on asphalt. This is a normal side effect, but I expected it before taking the spikes, so it's not a big deal for me. Snow porridge did not fare too well.
