Review on Revolutionary Foxlux Recessed 🦊 Lighting: Ultra Thin and Temperature-Controlled! by Buddy Colbert

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good headlights but cheap Chinese

They are very easy to fit and the best part is you can even mount them with a stud right behind them. They're as thick as drywall, so you can install them anywhere there's drywall - you don't need a lot of space between can shelves. The downside is that they are "cheap Chinese" quality. J-Boxes are made of thin metal that flexes as the cable connector is inserted. My junction box failed 4 months after purchase so I looked up the company's contact number. Hey, sorry, Charlie. Contact number not found. The Revain listing advertises the manufacturer as "FOXLUX" and the description claims it's a US family business blah blah blah but I couldn't find the FoxLux website. I even looked at their logo in reverse - nothing. Of course it seems to me that this is a fake company - how could it not be. No number, no contact details, nothing. If you need some level of customer service, don't buy these lamps. The back of the lights even says "Model Interteck: FX-5CCT-DL6IN12W". In fact, there is nothing "Foxlux" on the packaging or on the label. I understand more and more that these lamps are a cheap Chinese scam. And yet, with that one flaw and the stingy admission of a fake manufacturer, the flashlights generally work just fine.

Pros
  • body and fairing kits
Cons
  • boring packaging
