I still consider myself fairly "fresh" when it comes to watercolor experiences. I checked out a few tubes of watercolor paint and it was perfect. It taught me how to mix colors but it was such a headache to get it out and set it up. After a bit of research I tweaked my setup a bit to make it easier for me. I have these pens, some water brushes and a smaller pad to draw on. Just for reference, my paper is a Canson XL 98lb mixed media notepad. I think it's important to know what paper others are using when writing a review, as watercolor paints work differently with each brand and weight of paper. In my experience, pencils are incredibly easy to work with and I find they work better than watercolor and suit my style better. So if you want to color your own drawings, these are perfect. I also think they will work very well for people who want to paint with watercolor coloring books. I will upload a palette of each color. The circles represent areas of color straight from the pen without adding water, while the rectangles are treated with water from the pen using a water brush. Yes, there are two colors with the same name "oatmeal" and I accidentally put the neon colors aside and forgot to add them, so I made a separate page for them. I love it. For my style, this is the easiest way to get the colors and textures I want with minimal adjustments. Tldr: I really like it and am very happy with my purchase. Have already recommended her to several friends. If I had known I liked them that much I would have gotten a bigger set.
