About two weeks and no problems.
First, keep the home button's metal clip in a safe place! This doesn't happen. Aside from my own ignorance causing the issue, this worked great as a replacement for the original, which got cut off during a digitizer swap. Our friend needed an iPad repair. Without this part, it would take weeks to fix due to COVID-19 restrictions. This part arrived quickly and I was able to get it working so the kids could do their schoolwork. Thanks very much!
