Nice monitor but needs a little tweaking, bought this to replace a 4 year old Samsung SyncMaster SA300. my old Samsung SA300 did. Overall it seems better than average. Image: Clarity is about the same as other monitors in the $160 price range, maybe a little better than my SA300. Color: The default settings, labeled "Default" in the settings menu, have been changed. They contain too much red and green, making white look a little yellowish and warm. Reducing red to 95% and green to 94% fixed the color issues for me. Contrast: The default setting is 80, which makes everything look washed out. Setting this parameter to 65 fixed it. I couldn't beat the Black Friday price of $99 for this monitor and was very happy with it after adjusting the color and contrast settings. Not really worth deducting a star for, most technologies require some setup before use.
