This is a great basic monitor. It lacks the extra features of the pricier models, like USB ports, HDMI, or panning support, but I think it's a good deal for the price. I hate the stupid power button that you have to press multiple times for it to work. Works fine as soon as you turn it on. I take it with me when I travel to work. I can connect an HDMI cable from my computer to a Blueray player to watch movies in a hotel room. The generated volume is just enough, but sufficient.

Now I understand the nature of the design flaw of the stand that doesn't look like the picture shows. It snaps into place by inserting the ends of a bent rod, made of the same plastic as the case, into the slots on the back of the device. It is pushed down to lock it.
