You need gaskets between the head and the adapters
They leak badly. Luckily I had some extra spacers between them and the heads. Gaskets solved the leakage problem. If the information or instructions said anything about the need for a gasket, the fact that I need one wouldn't bother me. I had to loosen the rocker arms to attach them, but that didn't really matter as I still had to adjust them.
