I have used this product on specific areas of the scalp, targeting areas where I am trying to stimulate healthier hair growth. The product is a bit expensive so I try to be conservative with my uses and put it where I hope to get the most benefit. I think this is an easy way to remove styling residue and dead skin with the exfoliating ingredient salicylic acid. I'm also hoping to improve circulation with the addition of peppermint oil. I simply applied Act+Acre Scalp Renew to my scalp according to the directions while my hair was still damp. I massaged it and waited the recommended 15 minutes. When applying, I felt a slight cooling sensation, which increased slightly during the treatment. I think I was expecting a stronger tingle, but it's pretty mild, which I appreciate. The aroma is reminiscent of fresh mint, and again not overpowering, just pleasant. After 15 minutes I washed it off and put on my regular shampoo and conditioner. I had no side effects or scalp irritation and did not feel my hair was damaged in any way. wake up and clean. What I'm hoping for in the long run is that with continued use of this product it will help keep my scalp in better condition and create a healthier environment that promotes healthier hair.
