Immediately after purchase you can say that it lacks quality, but the bad rating is not for that. I didn't break the bank so my expectations weren't high in terms of looks, I just wanted it to work. The reason for the bad rating is that a whole side of the tower didn't work. You would think that this would be a level that would come out together since the surge protector and power switches were set up that way. It's not like this. I didn't even need all the outlets, but since I paid for them I wanted them to work. If it was a bad level I would just trade it for one that actually works. Since it was a page and not a level, I began to question its design, which led me to question its effectiveness. So I ended up returning it for a full refund and switched to a different surge protector.
