Do you have some old 78 rpm?
My old 78 RPM records sound great on this turntable with speakers. However, it is not suitable for connecting to my home cinema amplifier. I don't know if it has a preamp and there are too many inputs to output audio to the amp but when I did the sound was terrible. As a standalone device - great!
