Well I live in an apartment that was built in the 40's and 50's with weird wiring and no lights in the closets. The closet is large (8 feet by 3 feet) but there are no outlets in or near it. Eventually I got tired of using a closet to store my clothes and decided to find a cordless lamp that would light up the entire closet for me. That's great! The small base doesn't take up much shelf space and the flexible neck allows me to bend the lamp so it stays on the ledge and illuminates the cabinet with bright light without blinding me! This light is very bright and I see many uses for it. It also comes with a cord so it can be plugged in when used as a table lamp and you can save battery in the event of a power outage. I'm definitely glad I got it and plan on buying another one soon
