I came up with a recipe that's not too bad, but let me explain. If you just mix this stuff with water, it tastes like dirt (literally). I don't just mean bad, I mean literally like dirt. However, I add 1 scoop of beetroot powder, 1/2 banana, 1 tbsp cranberry concentrate, 1/2 scoop protein blend (chocolate) and 1 cup 2% ice cold milk, top up with cold water and mix until done it's a smoothie. Not that bad. It's about 40 ounces (depending on the amount of ice and water you add) and can become addictive once you get used to it. It tastes like a banana cranberry chocolate smoothie, but the dirty taste goes away after a few sips. I just mix and drink so I end up with a slightly grainy texture. I think there will be less graininess if you wait a few minutes before drinking it, but I'm impatient. Whatever the health benefits of beetroot powder, you're getting some protein, potassium, cranberries, plus, I'm guessing less than 300 calories. .
