I love the look of this surge protector, plus the extra spacing and 4 USB ports. However, when I plugged it in, something killed the motherboard of my high-end 5 1/2 year old computer. I'm confused because I just spent $80 for a cooler upgrade and added 2 x 120mm fans to my home computer (8 Core AMD 125W, 750W PSU, 4GB Graphics). . Now I need to add $950 to a new Dell computer. I'm pretty sure the little static moment when I unplugged the old surge protector and plugged this new one back in burned my motherboard. In any case. I still give the product 5 stars but not sure if the protection is there.
