The soles of these shoes are very sticky. I just did a test fit, walked 5 steps around my house and picked up some cat hair, dust spots and whatever dirty stuff I could find. I can't imagine how messy they would look on the street or in a store. They also stick to the ground, even too well. Your typical shoe, sock, or even barefoot slips a bit on flat surfaces. Not this one. They also make a "sticky sound" when lifted off the ground. They may do well on rocky terrain where you need very grippy shoes. Or maybe the stickiness will come off after some use. But at least from the start I didn't like the way they moved across the floor. Otherwise they were very comfortable.
