Easy to install (read the instructions and don't cut the big zip tie that says don't cut before installing!) Looks good for what it is . Not the strongest when adding extensions to fit a larger door. It still works and stays in place, but it flexes fairly easily at the connection point, and I'd recommend installing guards on the attachment points on the wall so it doesn't ruin the drywall. Overall, we're glad it serves its purpose and doesn't look downright crazy. I wouldn't trust him at the top of the stairs. For us it's a lower level door so it's not a problem but if you want it at the top of the stairs I recommend other gates unless you need extensions and screw it in. I've only been using the gate for a few months and it broke, now my baby isn't quite tender but he's only 10 months old. For the price I expected it would at least help us survive until he was a year old.
