As an electronics engineer and curious person, I decided to find out why my iMESTOU 5V 2.1A Dual USB Adapter turned out to be a DOA. Unfortunately I cut the wires and installed them before testing (my bad). So I can't go back. For you doubters, yes I made sure there was positive voltage on the positive input. I don't usually write reviews, but what I've found takes time and may even push the company to improve their design. I hope they can use this information to solve their design problems. It states that the input voltage range is 8 to 28 VDC. They added "+-4 volts" which is silly since the buck converter doesn't provide 5vdc on a 4vdc input and assumes it will work with a 32vdc input. his wife's power wheelchair and used a 26.7 VDC wheelchair battery. It's likely that the spec voltage roasted the input of the DC buck converter when it was first applied. I've attached an image showing a blown buck converter supply voltage input in a black circle. I can't comment on how this works at 12VDC but from other bad reviews it might not be very good at 12VDC either. So I have to give it a star and hope the company can improve its design for future buyers.
