In the past I had to calibrate my displays to get good colors. This one looked great from the start and I didn't feel the need to do anything with it. I find the 1080 looks better on a small screen but this was the best value at the time of purchase and sharp enough for my needs. Nice and bright, white looks white, colors are bright but not overly saturated. Skin tones look natural. The only thing I don't like is that it's the same as my last monitor, the power cord is on the bottom which means it comes loose from time to time if you're like me and the display into the other turn direction. many directions. Not a big deal as this applies to most monitors and it shakes less than my last one. It would be nice if there was a locking mechanism or something.
